Building on the successful Research Ethics Education Program Fellowship between the University of California San Diego (UCSD) and Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) that has been funded by the Fogarty International Center at the US National Institute for Health, the program was funded another 5 years to implement a masters of Bioethics at JUST.
We are proud of this important milestone to build on 6 years of training in responsible conduct of research that involved graduating 120 fellows from 13 countries in the MENA region, and now to have a formal masters in Bioethics offered at JUST but open to all the Arab region is so exciting.”
said Wael Al-Delaimy Professor of Public Health at UCSD and the Principal Investigator.
The funding will help establish a center of excellence in responsible conduct of research and will make JUST the hub for the bioethics in the MENA. The MSc. program is formally approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research/Jordan.
